Payment Terms For Accommodation And/Or Walk

Pay 25% of your total cost as a deposit to secure your booking. You can pay the full amount at this point if you wish.
7 days before your walk/stay pay the balance. We will send you a reminder.
If YOU cancel:
- 1 month before we will refund any money you have paid
- 7 to 31 days before we will refund half of any money you have paid (but you can avoid this by transferring to another date instead)
- No refund will be made for cancellations within 7 days of the confirmed date
If WE cancel, we will refund 100% of the money you have paid to us.
Up until 7 days before the confirmed date we are happy to transfer you to another date if your circumstances change.
Extra for Guests to our accommodation
Check-in time is between 4.00 and 5.00pm, however we will do our best to fit in with your schedule if you would prefer to arrive earlier or later. Let us know when booking.
Check-out time is 10.00 am.
Extra for walkers – Our walks operate year round in variable weather conditions so ensure you have appropriate clothing. We do not cancel or reschedule walks because of rain, however, we reserve the right to amend, cancel, or postpone services due to extreme weather conditions at our discretion. In this situation we will provide a full refund to the customer.
Terms -(the full policy)
This is the “long” version of above, just to keep the lawyers happy.
The following payments apply to all bookings:
- Deposit: 25% or (for accommodation) one night’s charge (which ever is greater) due within 48 hours of booking being accepted
- Balance: 75% due 7 days before stay or walk commences
Payment of deposit: Once we accept your booking a deposit must be paid AND received by us in order to secure the booking. Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt by us of the deposit. Failure to pay the deposit in time may result in your booking being cancelled and the accommodation/walk being made available to others.
Late payments: The balance due must be received on or before its due date. If your payment fails to reach us by the due date we may choose to cancel your booking with or without notice to you, and make the accommodation/walk available to others. Cancellation charges apply (see below).

Cancellation Policy For Accommodation And/Or Walk
Cancellation by You
If you need to cancel a booking please let us know as soon as possible. We understand that “life happens” and we’ll try to work out a mutually suitable arrangement. If that is not possible, then should YOU choose to cancel the booking our standard cancellation charges apply.
A full refund of any money paid will be made if cancellation is made 1 month before the date scheduled for the walk/stay.
A 50% refund will be made when there is 7–31 days notice.
No refund will be made for cancellations within 7 days of confirmed date.
There will be no refund on any portion or part of a walk once the walk has begun.
Cancellation by Us
If, due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions for the walk or other such circumstances, we need to cancel your booking we will return 100% of any amount paid or book you for another date, whichever you prefer.
All rates and services are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include Government Goods & Services Tax of 15% (GST).
Arrival & Departure
We need to know what time you intend to arrive. Check-in time is between 4.00pm and 5.00 pm, however we will endeavour to fit in with your schedule if you would prefer to arrive earlier or later. Let us know when booking.
